    Recent Projects / Scorsese

    Hello all!

Long time no update! I have finally had a few seconds to breath after the past two and a half months.

As some of you might know and for those of you who don't I have been working with Martin Scorsese and an outrageously talented group of people on a new campaign that will be launching later this year. I really wish I could tell you all about the AMAZING project but my lips are sealed. (damn NDA's)

What I can tell you all is that is film related (obviously) and will blow your socks off.

In other news I will be traveling across the country come middle of March to shoot an incredible portrait project. The states that will be involved are in order below:

    California
    Nevada
    Arizona
    New Mexico
    Texas
    Oklahoma
    Kansas
    Illinois
    Ohio
    Michigan
    Quebec, Canada
    and Upstate New York

Will update more details about the project when I have a chance and I leave you with an outtake photo I took while working in the Hamptons this past summer.

    ENJOY!

    1952 Brownie Hawkeye Images

    Long time no post.

For the past few months I have been in the process of launching a brand new company that caters to T.V., Commerical and Features production and set design. It has been quite a long and arduous process but the countdown to our launch is just weeks away.

I will keep everyone in the loop on when the launch party is and what our company is all about. After this is all over I will finally be able to update my website and bring everyone up to speed on what I have been doing photo-related within the past few months.

Until then I leave you with some fun and non-descript images I took using my 1952 Brownie Hawkeye. I re-roll 120 film onto a 620 reel and just shoot away.

    Hope you enjoy!

    Lenses and Brushstrokes

    Hey Everyone!

So lately I have been quite busy working on a new project called Lenses & Brushstrokes with the one and only See One. I have posted a short description of the show below:

"Lenses and Brushstrokes is the start of a movement. A collaborative unification between visual art, music, (ranging from hip hop, r n b and soul) and photography brought to you by See One and M. Claire Dennis, an artist and photographer weaving through out New York's underground sub-culture.

The striking photography of Claire Dennis utilizes the diverse environmental imagery each artist is most comfortable in, whether it be the studio, the street or all points in between. Drawing inspiration through sound See One visually captures each individual musical sound with his artistic skills mixed with Dennis' visual of the recording artists involved and mixes everything together for an interesting combination."

The show is opening in late November of 2009 in Tribeca. I will be posting some images, as well as, information about the show throughout the summer. As we get closer to the date I will be able to share alot more exciting details with you all!

Hope you enjoy the sneek peek!

    Updates to begin....

I have been quite the busy bee lately working on various projects. I am finally settled back in Brooklyn after touring the country the past few months.

I have traveled throughout the Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky and Colorado just to name a few! I have been loving every minute of running around, however, I am very excited to be home in good 'ole Williamsburg, Brooklyn!

I am going to start using this blog to update out-takes and pictures that have not been published. I will also use this to showcase what the full photograph looks like because ,as many of us know, the photographer has no say to how the image is published and my images are usually cropped.

My website is currently being re-designed, although it is still up and running, there are many new and exciting projects that will soon be added.

Below are a few FUN photographs I shot in Colorado May 2009 over Memorial Day Weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and ENJOY!

And for you who do not know what the Aperture Foundation is see below:

Aperture—the premier not-for-profit arts institution dedicated to advancing fine photography—was founded in 1952 by six profoundly gifted individuals possessed of lofty ideals and high ambition: photographers Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Barbara Morgan, and Minor White; historian Beaumont Newhall; and writer/curator Nancy Newhall. With scant resources, these prescient artists created a new periodical, Aperture magazine, to serve the medium, and photography users and fine art lovers worldwide.

For more than fifty years, Aperture magazine has been unrivalled in its excellence and critical acclaim. And, as photography and the medium grew, so too did the Aperture Foundation, expanding to include the subsequent publication of books, limited edition prints and portfolios, traveling exhibitions, and an educational program that includes lectures and panel discussions with artists, curators, and other key players in the field of photography.

With profound respect for the integrity of the viewer's experience and the artist's vision, Aperture presents to the public the finest photographic images that are faithful to the artist's intent and to the truth of the subject. These images are conveyed as intended by the artist, uncompromised by commercial motive, marketplace trends, or external censorship.

In March 2005, Aperture moved into its new headquarters in Chelsea's art district, at 547 West 27th Street, 4th floor, New York, N.Y. 10001. Our new, 3,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art gallery opened September 8, 2005.
